Where parrots are concerned, it can take 24-48 hours for a baby to pip its way through the egg shell and hatch. A baby starts pipping on the inside first, which can take 24 hours, then another 24 hours for the baby to pip through the outside and emerge. Chrys Meatyard
That depends entirely on the species. For small garden birds it is usually 4-6 weeks from hatching, although it is usually the parents that chase them away. Some species are cooperative breeders, where young stick with their parents to rear more young - for instance, wood-hoopoes, some species of starling, some species of gamebird, eclectus parrots etc etc etc . Apart from this, the longest any bird sticks with its parents is several months, usually for migration - examples - cranes and some waterfowl, particularly swans.
They will start to explore the area around the broody hen within 48 hours. They will run back under the mother hen for safety as soon as they feel threatened.
It takes 21 days
it takes about a month and a half
12weeks
The osprey chick's wingspan is about 3 feet long and a fully grown osprey's wingspan is 4-6 feet long.
Yes, but not long distance!
Light are used to provide HEAT to chick when being raised without a hen to keep them warm. Week one starting temperature should be 95 degrees about 5 " above bedding. Decrease it 5 degrees per week until the birds are fully feathered and coop temperature is close to outside temp. If chicks huddle directly under light it isn't warm enough and if the try to avoid being under light it is too hot (raise the heat lamp).
If you are using the light as a heat source then the light can be removed when they are fully feathered at about 6 weeks or when the temperature in the brooder box equals the temperature outside. 60F is a suitable temperature to sustain a chick older than 6 weeks.
about a year for sure
Two weeks.
A chick is a young bird! An elephant is a mammal. So unless 'magic' is involved, a chick will never grow into an adult elephant.
As soon as it was fully out of it's shell. Belive me I've raised them before!
You need to have an amulet for a baby dragon to fully grow sorry.
