== == * Even though bananas are a tropic fruit if left in a warm kitchen they will ripen much quicker and go mushy in approximately a week. Bananas SHOULD NEVER be put into the refrigerator. Don't throw those too brown bananas out ... make a banana nut loaf. * Note: This is from the Chiquita banana website: Putting bananas in the refrigerator will delay their ripening. The skin turns brown but the fruit inside does not change.
Bananas don't react well to refrigeration. If they are kept too cool, they don't ripen and the skins turn gray. If you must refrigerate bananas, do so only for a day or two.
I don't know ,I'm trying to figure that out as well :D
Well, they don't last as long as they do out of the refrigerator, and it depends on what type of bananas they are to tell how long they last.

When I first looked at this question I thought that you would just put the banana in a freezer. However, I realized that if you did this, the peel would become mushy and brown (although the banana would be fine). I asked my dad and he told me that there are many ways to freeze a banana. He said the best way to freeze a banana is to take the peel off, put the banana in a zip-lock, and stick the banana in a freezer. Good luck on your banana freezing.
I leave banana in the freezer after it gets bad, the darker the banana I'm told the better the banana bread. I've been doing that for years since my friend told me that. I have the best tasting banana bread ever. Have I been making a mistake or not.....
