Depending on the location of the stress fracture, the severity of the fracture and the amount of local circulation, I've seen them drag on for a couple or 3 months, in various stages of healing.

∙ 13y agoDepends on a variety of things. Firstly, the location of the fracture. Some bones have greater access to nutrients (ie. closer to a blood supply) than others and will the rates of healing will reflect this. Secondly, one must look at the severity of the fracture. More damage will take longer to heal.
