you really ought to do the math, if you haven't already. It's a simple equation, and you're trying to take the easy way out. 4 mph is written as 4 (miles) over 1 (hour). Set up a proportion and do the math. you really ought to do the math, if you haven't already. It depends on how fast you want to go, the horses level of fitness, rest stops and other things. It took me and some friends about 2 hours to go 6 miles on a organized ride. We did about equal amounts of galloping, walking, and trotting.

The time it takes for a horse to run a mile depends on it's speed, level of training and fitness and how much weight it is carrying. A Thoroughbred can run a mile in roughly 2 minutes, while it usually takes other breeds 3 or more minutes.

Secretariat ran the mile and a quarter Kentucky Derby in 1:59 2/5.

He ran the mile and a half Belmont Stakes in 2:24 flat.

Most good thoroughbreds can run a mile in under a minute and thirty seconds.

About the same as it takes you, maybe slower, if they decide to stop for a snack along the way.

The average speed of a horse is 10-17 mph. For the 10 mph horse, it would take them 6 hours. For the 17mph it would take about 3.5 hours.
