How long does it take for food dye to color a cup of water?
First of all, it depends on how much food dye and water you use, and the size of your cup. But other than that, approximately 13 seconds. (According to my experiment!)
It depends on the temperature and the size of the glass. It also depends on what you mean by "color" ... does it have to appear to be a uniform color, or does it just need to no longer be colorless in the far corners? If you really want to know, get a glass of water and some food coloring, and measure it.
It depends on how much food coloring you are trying to absorb, and how big the celery is. If you have a small stick of celery and a lot of food coloring, it will most likely take about a week or so for the celery to completely absorb the food coloring. When the color of the water and the color of the celery switch places, it is fully absorbed. I will be doing this experiment…
