Usually 20-30 minutes. In a trauma situation, paramedics will usually give you a drug called Fentanyl, which is 100x stronger than morphine and starts to take effect usually 30 seconds to a minute in. Afterwards, they will also give you Morphine. Morphine takes longer to kick in but lasts longer than Fentanyl so once the Fentanyl wears off, you still have a good dose of pain killers in you via Morphine.
I have been taking Morphine Sustained Release for about 2 years now and I would say depending on if your taking it on an empty stomach or not, it takes about a half an hour to take effect. Hope this helps.
Pain relief from morphine, or at least how long it takes to feel its first effects, depends on route of administration and one's metabolism. If taken intravenously, morphine acts within a few minutes. If taken orally it can be felt in as few as 20-30 minutes. Some folks have a metabolism that can cause morphine and other opioids to take longer to take effect than for other people. Finally, some drugs can cause morphine to be less effective and less easily felt. See your doctor for more definitive information, as he/she knows you, your medical history and how morphine would react in the presence of other medications you take.
Depending on the frequency of administration, strength and individual variations, anywhere from a week to several weeks.
IV it takes seconds. If taken by pill, as fast as 15 minutes.

The answer to this question would depend on the person. The longer you take narcotics the less effect they have on you. It also depends on whether or not you are talking about immediate release or extended release. Morphine tends to have a negative effect on your mood. Most people become very irritable while taking morphine. As the pills start to wear off and your pain starts to set in you tend to become very short tempered and most of the time mean. There really is no set answer to this type of question that would apply to everyone or most people. There is a different answer for every person. I would suggest just taking the pill at home and really paying attention to how you feel, what you can accomplish, and try to put yourself at your place of work with the experiences you have while at home. Try setting down with a project and see what gets accomplished and how you feel. Good Luck!
how long does it take for multaq to start working?
you cant
In Australia, you can start a part-time job at 15 and 9 months.
There are morphine "pops" for oral use. For times when that is not appropriate/possible, Fentanyl patches are great for those times when you do not have enough trained staff to start IV morphine or for "temporary" use. It is rather fast acting and the effects begin to wain relatively quickly when removed.
