Broil means to cook with radiant heat from above. Most ovens are preset to broil at 500 degrees. So i would just keep a very good eye on the chicken as to make sure it doesnt burn. In fact you could also cut the chicken into smaller pieces so that you dont cook the outside and leave the inside raw.

I myself have a 1500 degree char broiler and it takes about four minutes to hit 140 degrees internal temperature on a one inch steak. If I cooked it under there for 12 minutes it would be charcoal.
