The O positive blood type has two charateristics, no trace of A or B blood antigens and a positive Rh factor. Positive Rh factor can be an issue during pregnancy, however doctors usually test for blood types during pregnancy. If this is an issue, a Rh shot will be given to the mother for a healthy pregnancy.

There are several things that can contribute to a negative pregnancy test even if you are pregnant. Some medications can give you a false negative, the timing of the test can affect the results. If you did not follow directions properly; if you let the test sit for too long the results may read negative after a while. It is important to read the results within the amount of time given on the instructions of that particular pregnancy test you bought

you should go and make an appointment with ob/gyn and get a blood test done to see if you are pregnant or not and see why you missed two period... Although some test say that you can see results up to 5 days before your missed period, the percentage of accuracy is very low. * urinate for as long as possible on the foam-like strip * Check the results in the window frame of time suggested by the instructions of the pregnancy test.

Typically, your doctor would arrange for a sleep study, which involves wearing sensors (a nasal cannula to detect airflow, a chest movement sensor and a blood pressure/pulse sensor on the finger) for one night. The results are analyzed and given to your doctor, who will then refer you to a sleep therapist if this is indicated.

A beta hcg is a blood test given in early pregnancy to measure the quantity or amount of hcg, the pregnancy hormone. This test can be done as early as a week after ovulation, even before a positive hpt. The result or number of hcg detected will vary from woman to woman and pregnancy to pregnancy.

For a false positive, which is very rare, can be either, you took the test during menstruation and blood came in contact with the test strip or you experienced a chemical pregnancy.

An Rh negative person develops Rh antibody if exposed to Rh positive blood. This can happen during pregnancy with an Rh positive fetus if Rhogam is not given.

Hello. No, nothing can mess up a blood pregnancy test unless you wasn't given someone elses result which is highly unlikely. Regarding the refrigeration of the blood test, well this wouldn't affect the pregnancy test because the refrigeration will be set at the precise level for this test to be completed. So dont worry about this. But if you're worried, then see your doctor for a QUANTIATIVE BETA HCG blood test. This test is highly accurate.

Negative blood can be given to someone with positive blood. Positive blood CANNOT be given to someone with negative blood.

A negative test could also be the result of a phantom pregnancy. A phantom pregnancy is where you basically fool your mind and body into thinking it is pregnant. You will still experience pregnancy symptoms but you are not actually pregnant; it is al psychological Some women have even been able to lactate during a phantom pregnacny. The causes of a phantom pregnancy are either paranoia of being pregnant or having an extreme desire to become pregnant. The look at the HCG level, if it is existant, then you are pregnant. It can test negative if it is too early to tell. How they do this, I am unsure of.

There are pregnancy tests in market which can tell even before 4 to 5 days before your pregnancy can come. There are tests that are more sensitive and would detect a pregnancy earlier than others. For best results, a week after your missed period is preferred.

There are a number of tests available to detect the presence of HIV. The most common tests involve looking for the virus indirectly via the prescence of antibodies. This can be done through an oral swab test or a blood test. Many clinics offer rapid tests that can yield results in minutes (ex. Oraquick). If rapid tests yield positive results, it is recommend that another test be performed to confirm those results. In the United States, the Western Blot is the confirmatory test for HIV.

Well if you mean that you wait too long to read the results? Then yes. You must read the results within the given time frame on the instructions. Usually no more than 10 minutes.

Type A blood can be given to patients with type A or AB blood. Type B blood can be given to patients with type B or AB blood Type AB blood can only be given to patients with type AB blood. Type O blood can be given to patients with any blood type. The plus means the Rhetus group of the blood, which isn't as important as the blood type (A, B, AB or O), meaning there usually aren't complications even if blood of the wrong Rhetus group is given to a patient. In modern medicine, however, patients are nearly always given the blood of their own blood type, if possible.

Yes, you can get a negative urine pregnancy test result during the early stages of pregnancy, the home tests are not 100% accurate. To test for pregnancy, the urine tests determine the amount of hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin), the hormone of pregnancy, that is in your urine. But they are not very sensitive tests. If there is enough hCG that the test can work to detect it, then the result is a positive test (you are pregnant). In very early pregnancy, until the level of hCG rises high enough for the test to react and give a positive result, you could be pregnant but get a negative test. It takes about 5-10 days for the fertilized egg to reach the uterine lining. Once it gets there, it implants and starts producing the pregnancy hormone. It can take a couple of days to show up on even more sensitive tests. Therefore, you could have conceived, but not implanted the ovum yet, which still gives a negative test even though could actually be pregnant. Try taking the test in the morning. That is usually when your urine is most concentrated, making detection of the hCG easier. Wait another week and then recheck. If it still comes up negative, and you still think you might be pregnant, go to your doctor for more sensitive testing or continue to periodically test at home. If you get a subsequent positive test it is usually a good idea to follow with a second test to be sure you didn't have a false positive. Some medications can give you a false negative, and, as mentioned above, the timing of the test can affect the results. If you did not follow directions properly (for example, if you let the test sit for too long the results may read negative after a while, or if you drink a lot of fluids before taking the test it can dilute your urine and give inaccurate results). It is important to read the results within the amount of time given on the instructions of that particular brand of pregnancy test. To ensure the best results: Take the test in the morning, if possible, because your hCG (pregnancy hormone) levels are at it's highest, don't drink a lot of fluids before taking the test because it will dilute your urine and can affect the results Take the test no more than 1 day before expected period. Although some tests say that you can see results up to 5 days before your missed period, the percentage of accuracy is very low. Urinate for as long as possible on the foam-like strip. Check the results during the exact window of time suggested by the instructions of the pregnancy test. A negative test could also be the result of a phantom pregnancy. A phantom pregnancy is where you basically fool your mind and body into thinking it is pregnant. You will still experience pregnancy symptoms but you are not actually pregnant; it is all psychological. Some women have even been able to lactate during a phantom pregnancy. The psychological causes of a phantom pregnancy are usually either paranoia of being pregnant or having an extreme desire to become pregnant. There are alternative pregnancy tests that can be used in addition to using a home urine pregnancy test. You can go to your OB-GYN to get a proper examination and pregnancy test. They can order a blood test to be done at a lab, or perform one themselves in some cases. A pregnancy blood test can only be performed when ordered by your physician. There are two types of blood tests to measure the level of hCG: Qualitative and Quantitative beta hcg blood test. The Qualitative blood test is not 100% accurate during the early stages of pregnancy, so it is best to have this test performed after 5 weeks into pregnancy for a more conclusive result. The Quantitative beta hcg pregnancy test is 100% accurate and can be performed as early as 5 days after intercourse. The results will usually take 3 days to come back from the lab and are very accurate and are the best way of determining if you have conceived.

A blood sample is routinely used to detect ethanol/methanol and ASA/paracetamol intoxication. Various panels are used for screening urine samples for common substances, e.g. triage 8 that detects amphetamine, benzodiazepines, cocaine, methadone, opiates, cannabis, barbiturates and tricyclic antidepressants. Results are given in 10-15 min.
