It depends on the file size. A 2 minute video could take 2 mins, 2 hours, 18 hours, or 5 days. Depends on your size of the file. I'm uploading 10-20 min. videos on YouTube, and they range from 80 mb-180 mb in size and they always take from 30 mins to an hour to upload.

Depending on the size of your video, and the length of course, it must process this to the site. One time it took me 12hrs. to upload a 2min video but it had a lot of sounds and effects on it.

∙ 15y agoThis depends on your connnection speed to the internet, the time of day, how busy the youtube servers are at the time and the quality of the video. Normally if you have a broardband connection (1Mbit or better) a average quality video it will take 4-6 minutes.

∙ 15y agoThe question is to broad to give an answer to. Before being able to give any answer certain facts must be taken into account. These are: Bandwidth, internet speed and how many users who are currently using youtube to upload/download from youtube at the time of uploading.
Without knowing these facts the best answer would be a guess and could never be accurate enough to satisfy the answer.

∙ 14y agoIt just depends on the size of the video file you are uploading. If my downloads taking forever, i just leave it running overnight. You video cant be over 10 mins tho so dont try to do that or itll be a waste of your time.

By the way. i have a 50 meg internet connection..... i checked it on the internet... my uploading speed is at 1.17 mbs...... and i want to upload a 1.17gb vidio to youtube......
i figured out that that should take about 16 mins....
1170 megerbites divided by 1.17 meggerbites a second= about100 seconds divided by 60 = 16 about.....
that was a similer sum i got earlyer... so it should take 16 minutes... youtube says 140 minutes...
so im pissed and so i leave the computer on while im out shopping and come back 3 hours later only to find it says 150 hours left even though it says its at 40%......
is this because so many people are on the internet so im getting a lower speed????? it boxing day so i gess lots of people will be on
