My local outlet said NO. Heinz factory in Pittsburgh makes the malt vinegar for Long John Silver. I would bet that if you go to your grocer and get a bottle of malt vinegar made by Heinz it would be the same. I also found one by a company called London Pub that has a similar taste. Cheers

the thing about distilled malt vinegar is that when in the factory gelatinous pig fat is added along with untampered cow milk to make the mixture solidify but if this doesn't bother you there is no difference
