Well, If the user is a frequent user, it usually will depend on the factors of weight, height, and etc. But usually it would be around 30+ days, so it would take the fetus maybe two times that to detox since its organs haven't fully developed enough to process it out easily..

In a person that is not as frequent of a user, they can detox sometimes in less than two weeks, so the baby would almost take month to detox itself. I'd advise that if you are smoking marijuana(even if it isn't alot) quit at least two months before your expected date.

Only as long as it takes for you to not smoke while pregnant.

Otherwise, since a fetus shares everything with the mother, it will take the same amount of time as it would for you to test clean. How much you smoke and for how long weighs heavily on detox, so it could take days or months for a person to test clean. Todays liquid chromography tests are very accurate (and expensive) down to parts per million. My pain Dr sees all, so I disclose all.

Smoking itself can be extremely bad for the babies health. doing drugs while pregnant can result in a "crack baby", with birth defects and long term issues.
