Best Answer

When I was diagnosed with polymyalgia in August of 2008, my doctor said the symptoms might last one year. It actually lasted just short of two years. Things were going rather well after 15 months when I was inflicted with a minor relapse which required an increase in prednisone. Overall it took almost 2 years to recover. I now have Seronegative Arthitis in my hands which may be related to the polymyalgia. Comparatively this is just a morning annoyance.
