This depends on the type of fracture and how quiet you can keep your dog. The more quiet they are, usually the faster they will heal. It can take months for bones to heal, but follow your veterinarians directions and your pet should heal with no problems!

As with any animal (including humans), that depends on the age of the cat, the general health of the cat, how much time elapsed before the fracture was properly treated, the type of fracture, the quality of the dietary support, any physical support given to the leg (has the Vet wrapped it? splinted it? repaired it surgically?), how much rest the limb is given, how much stress the cat is under due to pain, etc. etc. etc.

well you cant really answer that cause we don't know the extent of the injury but you would have to ask your local vet that one.

I sprained the very tip of my finger and can not straighten it how long will it take to heal?

Sprains vary in how long they take to heal, but in my own personal experience, I regain decent movement without pain in just over a week, and am fully healed by the middle of the second week. Don't keep using the sprained joint, if at all possible. Sprains are not like breaks in that they do NOT heal back stronger. This also means you could easily re-injure it at a later date, so keep that in mind when doing whatever caused the initial sprain. Rob Kendrick

How long does it take for a sprained knee to heal?

Since a soft tissue injury can actually be worse than a broken bone, the best place to find out how long to expect your ankle to take to heal and how best to treat it, is from the your doctor who will take into consideration the injury, in the context of your other current health conditions, medications you may be taking that may influence its healing, as well as past health history and age, that could be important. Serious injuries should be diagnosed by a physician who knows this information, and that's a great time to ask questions such as this. Sadly, some sprains may always leave a weakness, never seeming to be quite healed. Sometimes it may take physical therapy or other intervention to help it fully heal correctly. Thankfully, this doesn't happen frequently.
