You should tape a bruise as long as it takes for it to heal. This somewhat depends on which metacarpal is affected.

How long does it take a love-bite to go naturally?

Well it takes about three or three and a half days for it to go naturally. But if you want to get rid of it early then there are other ways to do that. If you want to keep it, then I guess you should just wait for it to disappear. It is a bruise and takes as long as a bruise to go away.
