I just got back from having three fillings. The dentist knows i smoke and didn't say whether i could or couldn't. I don't quite know the answer, but i can tell you i just smoked and I'm not too worried. The only difficulty is trying to find your mouth. lol . I just smoked on the right side of my mouth (since i cant feel the other side). You will feel awkward smoking when your numb, but it wont bother you too much. Sorry i cant give you a professional answer, but hopefully my opinion will help a little.
