The longest professional Wrestling match ever (as certified by Guinness, no official record existed before this for modern professional wrestling ) was on January 8th 2011 in Murietta, CA for the Epic War wrestling promotion, between "Rockstar" Cordova (Michael Inman) and "Dangerous J" Jaysin Strife (Nathan Blodgett) in a 7-Hour Ironman Match. Jaysin Strife won the match 14-13 falls. A 1 minute rest period was given after each fall so if you deduct the rest time they wrestled for a total of 6 hours and 33 mins which still beats the disputed record of 6 hours and 30 mins (as well as the well known yet unofficial Lewis/Stecher record of 5 and 1/2 hours)
The above answer is in regards to "Professional Wrestling". Addressing wrestling as a whole, professional(fake) and real wrestling, this is still the wrong answer. The longest match in wrestling took place at the 1912 Olympics. The bout between Klein and Asikainen was the longest. It lasted 11 hours and forty minutes. After Klein finally took the victory, he was too tired to compete in the final.

Their have been a lot of great matches in WWE history. It is hard to pick just one.
There is probably two matches, but I reckon number one is Hulk Hogan vs. Andre The Giant, nobody thought The Giant could be slammed down on the ground but Hulk Hogan bounced of the ropes dodged Andre's boot and knocked The Giant down, that's when it started to get serious, Hulk Hogan did one of his crazy taunts and picked Andre up (and remember Hulk Hogan was only 300 pounds while Andre was a massive 520 pounds) and slammed him into the middle of the ring, then bounced off the ropes and did his finisher, the leg drop and pinned him in the ring. It was at Wrestlemania, and remember, Andre the Giant led Hulk Hogan to the Championship but the he swapped sides and Bobby Heenan for a manager, the interview was amazing. The Giant grabbed Hulk Hogans shirt and pulled it off then threw it on the ground.
Bret Hart vs Shawn Michaels in WrestleMania 12 which was a 60 minute ironman match for the WWE championship. Shawn Michaels won in overtime because neither men could get a fall in an hour
