I guess a very long time, a 405 year old clam found in Iceland.
Baby manatees are born live birth from their mother. They have birth under water, and if it takes to long then they can die.

The clam in the salt water would not last very long. It needs to be in it's original habitat of water. +++ The poor little animal would probably die of suffocation as it uses up the oxygen dissolved in the water. Also, if the brine is a home-made mix, its strength would probably differ markedly from that of the clam's home sea-water, possibly affecting its ability to absorb what little oxygen is available.
Being a baby is a passing phase. No animal live as a baby particularly long. They don't die, they become juveniles, and then adults.
Yes, they serve clam chowder.
it can live up to 30years
I have three Baby Murray turtles, I let them play in the shower for abot an hour with no water.I would say they could go an hour without water.
A clam might become a fossil if it gets trapped on a sedimentary rock and remains there for a long..long...time.
