8 ounces is known as 1 'cup'. There are 4 of them in 1 quart, and 16 of them in 1 gallon.

2/ Above assumes US Gallon (which is probably agood assumption given this web site) - in Imperial Gallons (used outside of the USA) there is 160 fl oz to 1 Gallon (Imp.) - 32 fl Oz therefore is either 1/4 gal (US) or 1/5 gal(Imp.)

1 gallon = 128 fluid oz = (128 / 32) = 4 times. Note: 32 fluid oz is known as 1 "quart"
