According to the numbers published by the U.S Government, they are about 3500 soldiers, but as I estimate (note that I am one of the Iraqi people) they are about 15000 soldiers..
As of today 05 May 2010 the US Government has published these numbers of total casualties in the US Military has lost 4,397 total American Soldiers since 2003. The US Government is not trying to hide or conceal information about the war in Iraq, the death toll in itself is a morbid political tool used to campaign against American Soldiers currently serving without prejudice because they want to be there and not because they were told.
