Americans thought it was none of their business to interfere in a matter in Vietnam. They also didn't want to get involved because they had just fought World War II against Germany and Japan. Because the Australians already knew it was a false flag operation. Secretary of State, Robert McNamara, lied to a joint session of the Senate Foreign Relations and Armed Services committees about the role played by the Navy in starting the war with Vietnam. They claimed the Vietnamese attacked the US ships but their was no attack, it never happened.true. The Australians intelligence already knew, the US was fabricating the truth so they could enter the Vietnamese civil war, so like folks with high morales they sat this one out. The sad truth is several US senators were involved in this false flag operation that also knew there was no attack. The entire Vietnam war was a US scheme to feed the defense industry.
