How many Australians use eBay?
What were some of the experiences of Australians as a result of their involvement in the World War 2?
Many young Australians lost parents. Many Australian parents lost children. Many Australians came back crippled and psychologically scared from the war experience. Australians in Darwin experienced bombing by the Japanese and in Sydney attacks by mini submarines. American soldiers on R&R also left quite a few litle new Australians behind. to name but a few of the experiences.
There are few traditions which are celebrated by most Australians, as the Australians are a diverse people from a mix of cultural backgrounds. Many would suggest that watching sport is a strong tradition. It is for a significant number of Australians, but there are many who have no interest in sport. Weekend picnics and barbeques are very popular "traditions", but again, they are not appreciated by all Australians.
Australians who are of the Christian faith commemorate Good Friday in much the same way as the rest of the western world. There is a solemn church service, either first thing in the morning, or during midday, to mark Jesus's hours on the cross. Australians who do not adhere to any Christian faith enjoy the extra long weekend, and many of them use this short break to go camping.
