Quite a few; The Beatles had a "rule" that singles wouldn't appear on LPs (albums) - although the rule was broken from time to time. The list of non-LP tracks are:

From Me to You

Thank You Girl

She Loves You

I'll Get You

I Want to Hold your Hand

This Boy

Komm, Gib Mir Deine Hand (a German language version of I want to hold your hand)

Sie Liebt Dich (German language She Loves You)

Long Tall Sally

Slow Down

Matchbox

I Call Your Name

I Feel Fine

She's a Woman

Bad Boy

Yes It Is

I'm Down

Day Tripper

We Can Work It Out

Paperback Writer

Rain

Lady Madonna

The Inner Light

Hey Jude

Revolution

Old Brown Shoe

You Know My Name

There were also a few "single only" versions of LP tracks (Love me do and Let it be have different versions for the single).

Many of these tracks have appeared on compilation albums and all the "missing tracks" appeared on the Past Masters CDs.

"A Hard Day's Night" and "Rubber Soul" were the first Beatles albums entirely comprised of songs written by members of the group. After that, they wrote and recorded their own songs.

On their early albums, the Beatles frequently recorded songs by others. Here is a list:

"Please, Please Me" (1963):

+ "Anna (Go to Him)" by Arthur Alexander.

+ "Chains" by Gerry Goffin and Carole King.

+ "Boys" by Luther Dixon and Wes Farrell.

+ "Baby It's You" by Burt Bacharach, Hal David and Barney Williams.

+ "A Taste of Honey" by Bobby Scott and Ric Marlow.

+ "Twist and Shout" by Phil Medley and Bert Russell.

"With the Beatles" (1963):

+ "Till There Was You" by Meredith Willson.

+ "Please Mr. Postman" by Georgia Dobbins, William Garrett, Freddie Gorman, Brian Holland and Robert Bateman.

+ "Roll Over Beethoven" by Chuck Berry.

+ "You Really Got a Hold on Me" by Smokey Robinson.

+ "Devil in Her Heart" by Richard Drapkin.

+ "Money (That's What I Want)" by Janie Bradford and Berry Gordy.

"Beatles for Sale" (1964):

+ "Rock and Roll Music" by Chuck Berry.

+ "Mister Moonlight" by Roy Lee Johnson.

+ "Kansas City"/"Hey, Hey, Hey, Hey" by Jerry Lieber and Mike Stoller & Richard Penniman.

+ "Words of Love" by Buddy Holly.

+ "Honey Don't" by Carl Perkins.

+ "Everybody's Trying to Be My Baby" by Carl Perkins.

"Help!" (1965)

+ "Act Naturally" by Johnny Russell, Voni Morrison.
