Actually, I think that you're talking about WW1 vets here... I think that there are over 150,000 WW2 vets still with us.

According to a recent article in the Ottawa Citizen, there are 163,450 Canadian

World War 2 Veterans alive as of November 11, 2009.

The article can be found here: http://www.ottawacitizen.com/news/Canadian+veterans+share+bond+virtue+survival/2210407/story.html

I am quite sure they are all dead. I seem to recall reading a newspaper article in the mid 2000's claiming that the last Canadian WW1 veteran had died, it was shortly after rememberance day that year. So I was correct, I did a search and found an online article, not nearly as detailed as the newspaper article I read, but it will have to do. http://ca.altermedia.info/histoire/last-canadian-ww1-veteran-dies_2308.html Here is the final one, she didn't see any action in the war and was not born in Canada, but she was most certainly the last one to die, only a couple of months ago... http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2008/08/30/2350861.htm
