If it's going to be a split collection (sent to a lab) you need at least 45ML. I do urine collections for drug screening for a living. As long as you have 45 ML's or more and it's between 90 and 100 degrees Fahrenheit, it'll be OK.

It's up to whomever is distributing the test to determine how much urine is required. Normally this consists of a specimen cup full of urine (normally around 3.5 ounces)

It depends on the test brand, actually. The ones we use requires a few drops.

They can carry out most tests with just a few drops. They ask for a substantial quantity so they can carry out multiple tests.
