∙ 13y agoAll but one of the women and children who had taken refuge in the Alamo survived. Between 1 and 3 black males survived because they were thought to be noncombatants. At least one one Texican combatant survived by claiming to be a prisoner of the Texans. Numerous former defenders who had been sent out as couriers are also listed among the survivors.
