Lyndon Baines Johnson was a Ensign in the United States Naval Reserve in 1942, before FDR recalled all Democratic officers to Washington DC. Richard Milhous Nixon was in the United States Navy, serving in the Pacific. Gerald Rudolph Ford was in the United States Navy. James Earl Carter was attending the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis. Ronald Wilson Reagan was in the Film Service to raise troop moral and make war films. George Herbert Walker Bush was a Naval carrier aviator.
