If you are talking DC voltage:

1 billion volts at 10 nano amperes is 10 watts.

1 million volts at 10 micro amperes is 10 watts.

1 thousand volts at 10 milli amperes is 10 watts.

1 volt at 10 amperes is 10 watts.

So, it depends. You're comparing power to potential, which cannot be directly compared without more information (the amperage).

Watts is the product of amps x volts. As you can see there is not enough data given to answer the question. If you use this equation, W = A x V , you should be able to get the answer you are looking for.

Answer #1:

This question has no answer as the units are incompatible.

Its equivalent to asking "how many mph in 10 foot-pounds?".

Volts and amps are two different things. You can have a 1 volt power supply that has 10 amps, and you can have a 1000 volt supply that has 10 amps. There is no correlation.

How many volts in a watt?

It depends on how many Amps (current) are applied to the voltage. Watt = Volts x Amps. e.g. 12 volts @ 5 amps = 60 watts

How many watts does it take to equal ten horsepower?

A horsepower is equal to 746 watts, so 10 x 746 = 7,460 watts.

How do you convert watts into amperes?

To convert watts into amperes you divide the circuit voltage into the watts. Amps = Watts/Volts. <<>> Converting Watts to Amps The conversion of Watts to Amps is governed by the equation Amps = Watts/Volts For example 12 watts/12 volts = 1 amp Converting Amps to Watts The conversion of Amps to Watts is governed by the equation Watts = Amps x Volts For example 1 amp * 110 volts = 110 watts Converting Watts to Volts The conversion of Watts to Volts is governed by the equation Volts = Watts/Amps For example 100 watts/10 amps = 10 volts Converting Volts to Watts The conversion of Volts to Watts is governed by the equation Watts = Amps x Volts For example 1.5 amps * 12 volts = 18 watts Converting Volts to Amps at fixed wattage The conversion of Volts to Amps is governed by the equations Amps = Watts/Volts For example 120 watts/110 volts = 1.09 amps Converting Amps to Volts at fixed wattage The conversion of Amps to Volts is governed by the equation Volts = Watts/Amps For Example, 48 watts / 12 Amps = 4 Volts Explanation Amps are how many electrons flow past a certain point per second. Volts is a measure of how much force that each electron is under. Think of water in a hose. A gallon a minute (think amps) just dribbles out if it is under low pressure (think low voltage). But if you restrict the end of the hose, letting the pressure build up, the water can have more power (like watts), even though it is still only one gallon a minute. In fact the power can grow enormous as the pressure builds, to the point that a water knife can cut a sheet of glass. In the same manner as the voltage is increased a small amount of current can turn into a lot of watts.

If an appliance draws 10 amps and the line voltage is 110 volts the power consumed is?

The equation that you are looking for is Watts = Amps x Volts. Power is consumed at that rate over a time constant. You are billed by the electrical utility company by the kWh. 1000 watts are equal to 1 kW.

How many watts in a mega watt of electricity?

"mega-" = one million, so 1 megawatt = 1 000 000 watts. So 10 mW = 10 000 000 W.

How many watt in amp?

It's watts divided by volts equals amps. Example: 1200 watts at 120 volts is 10 amps. To get the watts if you know the amps, multiply the amps times the volts. 10 amps at 120 volts is 1200 watts.

What capacity generator do you need to produce 10 amps?

Small generators are sized in watts. Watts is the product of amps times volts. To properly answer this question a voltage for your 10 amps must be stated. That said small generator outputs are usually 120/240 volts in North America. So 10 amps at 120 volts equal 1200 watts. 10 amps at 240 volts equal 2400 watts. A 3000 watt generator will be amply for your 10 amp load.

4 volts is a many watts?

4 volts and how many amps? Watts = amps x volts. It depends on the amount of current (in Amps) flowing at 4 Volts... See Ohms Law: Watts = Volts x Amps If you have 2 Amps flowing at 4 Volts you are dissipating/consuming 8 Watts. If you have 10 Amps flowing at 4 Volts you are dissipating/consuming 40 Watts.

HoW many amp is 300 watts?

As asked, the question cannot be answered. At 1 volt, 300 Watts = 300 Amps. At 10 volts, 300 Watts = 30 Amps. At 100 volts, 300 Watts = 3 Amps. At 120 volts, 300 Watts = 2.5 Amps. At 240 volts, 300 Watts = 1.25 Amps. To calculate the relationship between Amps, Volts and Watts, use the formula: Watts = Amps * volts

How many watts of power are being used at 230 volts and 10 amps?

Watts = Volts x Amps x Power Factor Maximum Power Factor is 1 for resistive load.

Amps to watts?

Watts = Amps x Volts Amps = Watts / Volts you only need to know two of the three to work out the other so 230 volts at 10 amps gives 2300 Watts (2.3 kW) 2.3kW at 230 volts draws 10 Amps

How much watts in one ampere?

Since the equation for watts is: Volts * Amps = Watts that would mean 12 Volts * 1 Amp = 12 Watts

If a battery has 100 amp hours at 12 volts dc how many amp hours will it have with a 120 volt ac inverter connected?

12 Amps x 12 volts = 1200 watts 1200 watts / by 120 volts = 10 amps at 120 volts Answer is 10 amp hours
