Any female dog is able to become pregnant twice a year (every heat) but it is extremely irresponsible and dangerous to breed a single dog that many times. You could calculate an average lab lives to be 12 and go into their first heat about the age of 1, so that culd be 22 pregnancies. But any responsible breeder will breed a female only 2 or 3 times max.

If you do not take care of the dog and allow her to have pregnancies her entire life she could have a litter per year and some years two per year. So a 15 yr old dog could have at least 15 litters and up to 25. THIS IS NOT RECOMMENDED and is horrible for her health. Dog's shouldn't be allowed to breed their first heat at 6 months and some breeders say not until they are 2 yrs old. Also you should stop breeding your dog around the ages of 5-8. Treat your pup how you would like to be treated and then you can't go wrong. JebsWell it doesn't matter on the color however they can have up to 12 puppies I believe. However usually have around 6 puppies or so but it also depends on how big or small your dog is. Check online or see your vet or just call them up. I hope this answers your question and helps!! Good luck! =)

Typically, they would have six give or take. However, the highest number I have heard is twleve or thirteen. Labradors are big dogs and therefore have a bigger litter.

Although it is possible for a dog to have two litters a year, this is not adviseable as it puts too much strain on the mother. Dogs should not have more than two or three litters in their lifetime and most major Kennel Clubs will not register puppies from a female that has had more than three litters.

really the total amount depends on how many litters they had and how old it is but for an example the average guinea pig lives 5 years so it could have a sensible amount of 15 litters in its lifetime and 3-4 pigs at a time so they could have an average of 45-60 babies.
