Yes, there are students who take a double major.

I'm not sure that double majors are the same as double bachelor's. While the school I was at allowed double majors, when I asked, they said they did not allow double bachelor's. Ask the school you're applying their policies, because if you already have a bachelor's degree, they may deny you admission into an undergraduate program for a second bachelor's.

Yes, but there is usually no benefit as far as employment and regardless of major some of the prerequisite courses are bound to be the same-meaning you take some of the same classes twice since units can only go towards one. You are better off to get 8 years in 1 major and be a PHd.
