Infants should not have caloire count measured. At such a critical time in their lives, infants and young children need calories to support growth, health, and proper development. As long as it is not excessive or caloires from un-healthy foods, it is alright.

Approximately 655 calories for age 0-5 months are required per day. However, please check with your own medical adviser what is needed for your child in relation to individual heath status and current weight.

That depends on the age, health and weight of the baby. Here we can only give examples.

For young children to maintain weight

  • approximately 655 calories for 0-5 months
  • approximately 855 calories for 5-12 months
  • approximately 1300 calories for 1-3 years.

Those are just approximate figures. Please consult with a physician or medical adviser to know how many calories a particular baby needs.

As a general rule multiply their height in inches by 40. So for example, if your baby is 27 inches he or she should be getting about 1080 calories daily.

1000 to 2000 to help the baby grow. You got to get skinny and not fat.

Baby has weight not calories. Calories are in things you eat. Babies are not edible.
