well there are 36 in the us and 116 in the hole world...
That I know of, between 4-8. But sometimes if the mother cat is thin or smaller than she should be she might give birth to less kittens and you never know how many kittens she might have. Some cats only have one kitten while others have 5 or something.
There are millions of little spotted cats all over the world. You can find spotted cats at your local human society.
Cats started popping up as little puff balls right around after the dinosaurs went extinct. They were popping out of no where as little puffballs everywhere and ever since then, cats have been roaming around the earth ever since after the dinosaur extinction. But I'm not sure when who discovered them and when.
