Avatar: The Last Airbender was not based on a book.
Tha airbending avatar before Aang was Avatar Yang Chen, and there are lots of statues of her in the series.
There are 16 DVDs total from all three seasons .
book three is the last book of avatar though, some comment by the editors suggest that new series with different characters. they have to make a 4th season because we still new to find out wat happens with toph and her family, katara and aang and we need to find out about zuko's mother. they have made a short vidieo which is just a joke vidieo but its called Forbidden Love and if there is a forth season this may be the first chapter of it
if you mean in the series, no. the creators of avatar decided to stop making avatar when aang learned all the bending because each chapter is named for the element he is trying to learn. but in theory, yes. after aang dies, the next avatar spirit will be reincarnated into a waterbender.
There is no Book 4, as the series ends with Book 3, but a new series will come out in 2011.
No
All of the Avatar series shows in no particular order on Nicktoons.
There was no Book 4, so no DVD can be released. The Last Airbender TV series ended with Book 3, but the story continued in a comic-book series 'Avatar: The Last Airbender: The Promise'. A spin-off TV series set in the same universe but many decades after the events of The Last Airbender called 'The Legend of Korra' is ongoing.
Book 1: Water Book 2: Earth Book 3: Fire
The three main books in the Avatar series are "Book One: Water," "Book Two: Earth," and "Book Three: Fire." Each book corresponds to a different element that the main character, Aang, learns to master throughout the series.

yes, because in the San Diego Comic Con, the writers stated that was the last book, which was fire. This sucks:( but there will be a new series called Avatar The Legend of Korra
Avatar: The Last Airbender was not based on a book.
Actually, Season 3 (Book 3: Fire) was the last "real" Avatar series. There are some short cartoons about Avatar, though, if you tune into Nicktoons Network.
Sadly there will not be a Book 4 in the Avatar Series. Though there will be 3 Motion Picture Films tieing up the loose ends, the first one to be released in mid-2010.
