For any amount of clients connected to a hub you will get a total of 1 collision domain. A hub is a device that simply repeats all of the signals from the ports and does not separate clients into separate collision domains.

How many broadcast domain are created when you segment a network with 12-port switch?

Zero. No collisions can occur within a full-duplex environment, as transmit and receive operations are performed on another set of wires. Thus, no collision domains would exist. Carrier Sense Multiple Access with Collision Detection (CSMA/DC) is not part of a full-duplex network for this reason.

What is the purpose of collision domain and how does it work in a ethernet network?

There is no purpose. It is rather unfortunate downside. In early years of networking networks were not capable of full duplex as result admins had to deal with collision domains. Problem of collision domains does not exist in modern equipment because data sent and received on different pairs of wires. There are exceptions but they are not applicable to the most of situations admins have to deal with.

Which DNS servers are at the highest level of the DNS namespace?

the root domainDNS namespace: DNS is the name service provided by the Internet for TCP/IP networks. DNS is broken up into domains, a logical organization of computers that exist in a larger network. The domains exist at different levels and connect in a hierarchy that resembles the root structure of a tree. Each domain extends from the node above it, beginning at the top with the root-level domain. Under the root-level domain are the top-level domains, under those are the second-level domains, and on down into subdomains. DNS namespace identifies the structure of the domains that combine to form a complete domain name. For example, in the domain name sub.secondary.com, "com" is the top-level domain, "secondary" identifies the secondary domain name (commonly a site hosted by an organization and/or business), and "sub" identifies a subdomain within the larger network. This entire DNS domain structure is called the DNS namespace. The name assigned to a domain or computer relates to its position in the namespace.
