In the Battle Of Chickamauga (September 1863), there were a total of 34,624 casualties.

(3969 killed, 24430 wounded, 6225 missing or captured)

The Union had about 1657 killed and 9756 wounded.

The Confederate forces had about 2312 killed and 14674.

So despite the battle's classification as a Southern victory, the Confederates had 50% higher casualties. They did take more than 4000 Union prisoners, but their numerical inferior forces could not sustain such manpower losses.

I do not know that anyone has ever attempted to tabulate this total. It would not be easy. There were actually about 15,000 troops in the charge, and only 4,000 of these were of Pickett's division. But Pickett and his men were all Virginians, and Virginians had a lot to do with writing the history of the southern war effort after the war, and tended to emphasize Pickett and his men at the expense of the other 11,000 or so who also took part. There were actually more troops from North Carolina than from Virginia in the attack, and troops from several other states as well. Casualty reports made after the battle were almost all for the entire three days. The only way to try to arrive at the figure you seek would be to identify each regiment which was in the attack, and then look for personal recollections or regimental histories from members of those units in the voluminous literature of the war, and there is no guarantee that something could be found from each unit or that the information given in what could be found would be complete or entirely accurate. I do recall that all the brigade commanders in Pickett's division were killed or wounded, an unusual percentage for generals.
