Offer your juvenile tokay crickets on a daily basis. As many as they will consume in one sitting. Mine will usually eat 4. Adult tokays should be offered crickets every other day as many as will be consumed in one feeding. I have read some report theirs will eat as many as 10 when full grown.
I offer mine waxworms twice a week. Wax worms are high in fat content. They should be fed no more then twice a week. On the nights I feed waxworms, I do not feed crickets.
If it is a juvenile- Feed it about 4-5 crickets and every other day subtract a cricket and add a meal worm!
If it is an adult- 3-4 crickets and a meal worm every 2 days. Meal worms are really high in fat, so too many aren't good for the gecko and can lead to obesity!
about 10 or 20 a week
Geckos are reptiles, and reptiles in general have a much slower metabolism than mammals. Reptiles require much less feedings than most animals due to this. A gecko will consume 2-4 appropriately sized feeders, gutloaded and coated in calcium 2-4 times a week depending on size and specie of gecko.
about 6 a day but befor you go 2 bed take out remander important
Well, remember that geckos should eat every other day just so they don't get overfed but they are use to it in the wild. You should feed a gecko 2-3 crickets per every other day.
Around 3 small ones a day when they aare hatchlings.
A leopard gecko is capable of eating 3-7 appropriately sized feeders 3-4 times weekly.
yes Gecko's eat cricket's, but it is hard to get the Gecko's to eat the cricket's
If it is a young leopard gecko you should feed it about 2-3 small crickets every day. If it is an adult you should feed it about 3-4 large crickets every other day.
very small so that he wont choke
Can start feeding them mealworms immediately. Leopard gecko really like crickets, so if crickets are always available do not expect them to eat many mealworms.
Leopard geckos are meat-eaters. NO FRUIT. Its best to feed your gecko insects like crickets : )
I would feed every other day; that's what I do for my leopard gecko. Make sure you provide a varied diet with crickets, mealworms, and a waxworms once or twice a week. Good Luck! ~Leopard Gecko Fan~
An adult leopard gecko should be fed 3-5 appropriately sized feeders 3-4 times a week. A baby/juvenile should be fed 1-3 appropriately sized feeders, daily.
no you cannot. it would kill them VERY easily. i reccomend fedding your Lepoard gecko meal worms and crickets
You do not have to feed your leopard gecko just crickets, you can feed your leopard gecko mealworms as a main staple of the diet also. You can also feed your leopard geckos waxworms as a treat, you want to be stingy with these because your leopard gecko can get addicted to the waxworms and not eat anything else. Hope I helped! They will eat just about any small insect when hungry, care should be taken to ensure that they are not able to eat any poisonous insects. Spiders are generally fine, but eating certain caterpillars are most definitely not good for geckos - or any other lizard.
Sorry they do not eat ANY vegetables. They are insectivores, meat eaters, so feed them crickets. As treats give them meal worms, wax worms, and/or super worms.
It depends on how old the Leopard Gecko is... Say it was born as a baby maybe about 1 or 2 small crickets every day. When older start putting more in there... Like 3 or 4 so on and so fourth... And if you buy a whole bunch Of food (Crickets) It is only natural for them to die.. What I have found out in my experience, Crickets stay alive longer if u put a Hardly Damp Cotton Ball Where u keep your Crickets. And I HIGHLY recommend you don't keep The Crickets in the bag when you buy them at a Local Pet Store..
Yes you should feed your Leopard Gecko wax worms if hes getting to skinny. However, you shouldn't always feed it as his main food. They can get obeyed and be addicted to wax worms. This is bad. So, only feed your Leopard Gecko 3 times a day, in the morning, in the evening, and in the night. If your Leopard Gecko refuses to eat it store the wax worm back into its container.
No. People feed leopard geckos "pinkies" for various reasons. To boost nutrition during a geckos pregnancy. To give a gecko a large feeding so as to not have to feed it for a week (this works well if you want to take a vacation). Some people just think it's entertaining. A Leopard Gecko does not "need" to eat baby mice. Crickets will do.
