According to a website one medium ear of corn yields 3/4cp. of corn. So I multiplied by 8 and got 6. So Eight ears of corn gives you 6cps. of corn.

That's got me , - do you measure corn ON the cob or cut off ? - in 40+ years of cooking, I have NEVER heard of measuring corn in cups.
