How many eggs do goldfish lay per year?

I'm experiencing the breeding at the moment,

So far 2 weeks, the goldfish breeded twice,

not sure if they'll continue doing this on the 3rd week.

my 3 goldfish laid eggs once a week, now I'm on the 2nd week,

1st week, 1st batch of eggs were laid, hatched, and became free-swimming baby fish frys;

2nd week, 2nd batch of eggs were laid, still hatching, at the moment,

I'll keep everyone updated on if more breedings on the 3rd , 4th week, and so on.

A spawning pair of goldfish can lay/fertilize over 5,000 eggs. Since goldfish are domesticated, it is truly up to the breeder to decide how many of these goldfish frys he/she wants to raise. Depending on the individual breeder they may keep anywhere from 25-100 fry to raise.
