To reach the summit of Mount Everest can take anywhere between 4 to 8 weeks. You have to allow time for your body to acclimatize to the high altitude, then you must wait for the right weather window to allow you to climb to the summit and back safely.

Who was the first person to clime mount everest?

The first person to place two feet on Mount Everest was not actually Sir Edmund Hillary nor Tenzing Norgay, both on may 29, 1953. It was in fact Surveyor Andrew Waugh, who was the first to accurately measure Mount Everest as 29,000 feet exactly. But when he told people this extroadinary fact the public never believed him, and said it was all to unreal. This really annoyed Waugh and so he added another TWO feet onto the original measurement, therefore making the height of Mount Everest, 29,002 feet.Get it? I never actually asked,'Who was the first person to place TWO biological human feet of their own onto the peak of mount everest' But ...yeah...Andrew Waugh was the first person to place TWO FEET, in measurement, onto Mount Everest. KwitderberSorry, He wasn't the actual person to "Place two feet" either. It was in fact Radhanath Sikdar who was an Indian mathematician who carried out a survey of the then named "Peak XV". He used trigonometry and was aided with a sextant. He discovered the height to be exactly (as far as it could be then) 29,000 ft and so added the extra 2 ft as he felt that know one would believe him. Waugh was the Surveyor who took over from George Everest and in honour named the Mountain after him.
