My 1989 Chevy Caprice Classic with a 350 CID motor has a 27 gallon tank.
5-6... depending on options.
It is 23 on the sedan and 21 on the wagon

U need to purchase a Chevy power steering pump removal/install tool. its a small pulley type tool and will take the pulley off of the pump. once its off, there should be 3 bolts that hold the pump in place.
As I recall, there were no Chevrolet Caprice sedans, or wagons sold in 1997. The 1991-1996 body style carried a 23 gallon gas tank, this may be what you were looking for.

depends on the wheelbase the shorter will have a 23 gallon and the longer could have a 23 or 38 gallon tank
