octopuses can have upto 20 babies in there lifetime, they dont even have to find a mate of the opposite sex because octopuses are unisex animals just like the walrus and the seahorse.

It depends on the species. Some lay under 100 eggs, but the Giant Pacific Octopus can lay up to 100,000 eggs at one time.
