It is recommended for EVERYONE that they drink 8 - 10 glasses (8 oz glasses) per day. If it's very hot out and the person is perspiring they need extra water. Water along with diet also helps flush out fat. Water ALWAYS flushes out toxins in the body and keeps your kidneys and other organs in good shape. It is not wise to over-do water. In your case 10 glasses per day and if it's really hot out and you are perspiring perfusely then 3 - 4 more glasses wouldn't hurt. Other than that don't over exceed water because it can flush out too many nutrients in the body. I have no idea if you are male and body-building or male/female and just over-weight. If you feel you have an over-weight problem then there is a time when you are going to have to deal with it. Have a good physical form your doctor first because there are many things that can cause a person to become over-weight by more than 80 lbs. I have been 50 lbs. over-weight in the past and swear by "Weight Watchers." Men and women go to the groups and are encouraged every step of the way. What I love about this diet (it isn't really a diet, but corrective eating habits) is you can eat almost everything, but within a range.
