It depends what you mean. Pagan has been misinterpreted over the years. Now it is used often in reference to the lifestyle of Wicca. There are many representatives to which "worship" may be directed. For example, if there is need for better health, there could be prayer or request to a certain deity who may have influence over such matters. In essence, it is like management in a large company. You have the head person (God). That person has executives under them (smaller deities) and those have lessers under them. A mere cubicle worker (people) would not direct all their grievences and needs to the President of the company. They will go to their immediate supervisor, who will go to theirs, and so on. This way, there are only about 10 people reporting directly to the President. Sometimes the problems can be filtered out through the lessers and sometimes they need to go all the way to the top. So, I don't know if that makes sense, but in a nutshell, there are others who can be addressed for certain things, but there is still a strong belief in a main source of energy and life. The name of this source varies, but the concept is that of one God who sits over all. Mostly, Pagans believe in an evenness of sorts. For every negative there is a positive and so on. There is a male and female aspect to "God" and they are represented seperately. Also, you will find a stronger concentration on the female, as this is commonly thought of as the lifegiving source. (The mother giving birth, etc.).
So, Wiccans believe that, Pagans do have many Gods, but there is still an underlying belief in one greater power. They also draw on their own "power" they have in themselves, believing that this, as well as everything, is a gift that they were given in order to be in control of their own destinies.
The term paganism does not refer to just one religion; it was used in Europe to refer to any non-Christian religion other than Judaism (Judaism being the ancestral religion of Christianity). So we get such religions as Norse mythology, which had about a dozen deities, and Druidism, which as far as I know involved primarily one goddess, and Celtic mythology which had another dozen or so deities, and Hinduism which has endless numbers of deities, etc.
Sort of... Some of us believe there is a Male and Female God/Goddess. Everything in nature is based on male & female coupling, so why would the creator be ONLY male or ONLY female?
Others believe that there is only one creator but many gods and goddesses that work below the creator.
That's the great thing about Paganism, you are free to make up your own mind as to what you believe.
Depends what religion, pagans is a jewish term to describe older religions. Old Greeks and Romans had 12 main Gods Olympians + many minor gods. There is no set number but there are usualy main Gods like in Hinduisem they have 3 main Gods and their reincarnations.
There are about 33 million gods in the Hindu religion.
