1) Algimantas Šalna, born in Vidiškės, Utena, won gold in men's 4x7.5 km relay biathlon at the 1984 Winter Games in Sarajevo.

2) Vida Vencienė, born in Ukmergė, Vilnius, won gold in women's 10 km cross country skiing at the 1988 Winter Games in Calgary.
