4 grams
Grams refers to the weight of the ring and karats refers to the type of gold the ring is. 14 karat gold rings are made in different sizes so the ring would need to be weighed to figure out the grams.
2-3 grams is typically required.
10K - ten kilograms and 'kilo' means a thousand, so 10 kilograms = 10,000 grams. However, you have not told us what quality of gold this ring (which must have been made for a giant!) is made of. If it was not pure gold (24 karat), then there will actually be less gold than 10,000 grams.
for a 10 karat wedding band size 12.5, i think it is maybe one gram or maybe 1.5 grams. the diameter of the ring i have is 22mm giving a circumference of close to 70mm. The thickness is 1 mm and the width is 3 mm. gold has a density of 19.3 grams per cc. my ring is about a fifth of a cc. if it was 24 karats that gives close to 4 grams of gold. my ring is only 10 karats
It can weight about 30 grams - 50 grams.
Kilo Means Kilograms And There Are 1000Grams In A Kilogram , So In a 10k (Kilogram) Rinq It Would Be 10,000 Grams (: , Your Welcome
If we are discussing a gold ring and the ring is 18 carat gold (fairly pure: 18/24 by weight gold) and "they" are paying only for the gold content then there are 4 * 18/24 = 3 grams of gold "they" are going to pay you for. Gold is measured in "troy oz", not avoirdupois ounces like most everything else! There are 31.1 grams in 1 troy oz so your ring has about one tenth of an ounce of gold in it. You will get about 140 (dollars?) for it.
How many grams are in an oz of gold?
About 31.1 grams.
buyers dont usually go by grams they go by penny weight and depending prolly no more than 3-5 penny weight.
The worth of gold as metal inside can be determined by its weight. Ring size 6 does not say how wide it is, or how heavy, but let us assume it is about 4 grams. In the 4 grams of 10 karat ring, you would have about 1.66 grams of fine gold. Today, the price per gram is about US $40. The gold in that ring of assumed 4 grams, would be worth about US $66, but you would get somewhat less in the jewelry store.
