Well to find how many grams are in moles you would eventually multiply the mole by the molar mass. The molar mass of aluminum oxide would be 101.96 ( you would find that by multiplying the Atomic Mass of al by 2 and o by 3 and adding them together). But the molar mass of Oxygen is just about 48 (rounded to 16 instead of 15.9994)

5.75 moles of Al2O3 X 48 g oxygen/1 mole of Al2O3=

276 g oxygen in 5.75 mole Al2O3

In the reaction of aluminum metal and oxygen gas aluminum oxide is formed How many moles of O2 will react with 2.0 moles Al?

1.5 moles of O2 react with 2 moles of Al 2Al + 1.5 O2 = Al2O3.

What is the molarity of a solution in which 51 grams of aluminum oxide Al2O3 is dissolved in 500 mL of solution?

Need moles aluminum oxide first. 51 grams Al2O3 (1 mole Al2O3/101.96 grams) = 0.5002 moles Al2O3 ======================Now, Molarity = moles of solute/Liters of solution (500 ml = 0.500 Liters ) Molarity =0.5002 moles Al2O3/0.500 Liters = 1.0 M Al2O3 solution ----------------------------

How many moles are in 28 grams of calcium oxide?

28 grams calcium oxide (1 mole CaO/56.08 grams) = 0.50 moles CaO =============

How many moles of calcium oxide are produced when 36.5 grams of calcium reacts completely with oxygen gas?

2Ca + O2 --> 2CaO The molar mass of Calcium is 40g/mol. 36.5g/40g gives you 0.9125 moles of Calcium. The moles of calcium are equivalent to the moles of Calcium oxide. The answer is 0.9125 moles of calcium oxide. Correct me if I am wrong.

How many grams of aluminum are needed to react with 192 g of oxygen gas?

First determine the balanced chemical reaction:4Al + 3O2 ---> 2Al2O3Next figure out the number of moles of oxygen you start with by dividing 192 by the molecular weight of oxygen (16 g/mol). Then use the coefficients from the reaction to determine how many moles of Al would need to react with the oxygen to convert all the oxygen and aluminum to aluminum oxide.192 g * (1 mol O / 16 g O) * (4 moles of Al/6 moles of O) = 8 mol of AlFinally multiply by the molecular weight of Aluminum to figure out the mass:8 mol Al * (27 g/mol) = 216 g of Al

How many moles of aluminum ions are in 45.0 g of aluminum oxide?

Steps to take: Write the chemical formula : Al2O3 Calculate the number of moles for aluminum oxide. You should know the formula which is the mass given (0.051g) divided by the Mass of aluminum oxide. Since there is '2' moles of Aluminium you multiplly the number of moles calculated for aluminum oxide by 2. Then you have calculated the number of Ions.

What is the theoretical yield of aluminum oxide if 3.40 mol of aluminum metal is exposed to 2.85 mol of oxygen?

2,55 moles of aluminium oxide are obtained.

How many atoms in a mole of aluminum III oxide?

Aluminium Oxide(Al2O3) has 2 moles of aluminum and 3 moles of oxygen. The total is 5 moles. One mole is 6.022 x 1023 atoms. Therefore, 5 moles = 30.110 x 1023 atoms

How many moles of aluminum oxide are present in a sample having a mass of 178.43g?

For this you need the atomic (molecular) mass of Al2O3. Take the number of grams and divide it by the atomic mass. Multiply by one mole for units to cancel. Al2O3= 102 grams408 grams Al / (102 grams) = 4.00 moles Al

How many moles of oxygen are produced when 26.5 mol of aluminum oxide are decomposed?

This value is 38,9 mol.

How many moles of aluminum oxide can be made if 4.0 moles Al completely react?

The balanced chemical equation for the reaction between aluminum (Al) and oxygen (Oβ‚‚) to form aluminum oxide (Alβ‚‚O₃) is: [ 4 \text{ Al} + 3 \text{ O}_2 \rightarrow 2 \text{ Al}_2\text{O}_3 ] According to the balanced equation, 4 moles of aluminum (Al) produce 2 moles of aluminum oxide (Alβ‚‚O₃). Therefore, if 4.0 moles of aluminum completely react, it will produce ( \frac{2}{4} \times 4.0 ) moles of aluminum oxide. Calculate that to find the answer.

How many moles of aluminum oxide will be produced from 8 moles of Al?

depends on how much aluminum oxide you have, 1gram, 2 billion Kg? how many? cant find the number of moles of oxygen without knowing the mass of the al203

How many moles of aluminum oxide can be made if 5.23 moles Al completely react?

This is a mole stoichiometry problem. Start with the balanced equation for the synthesis of aluminum oxide: 4Al + 3O2 --> 2Al2O3. The ratio of aluminum to aluminum oxide in this equation is 4:2, or 2:1, so 5.23 moles Al means half that number for Al2O3, so about 2.62 moles of aluminum oxide will be produced.

What is name of the compound Al2O3?

Al is the symbol for Aluminum and O is the symbol for oxygen. When oxygen is paired in a compound, it is changed to oxide. The name then is aluminum oxide.

How many moles of O2- ions are in 0.65 moles of aluminum oxide?

The formula for aluminum oxide is Al2O3, which means that, if aluminum oxide is ionically bonded, every formula mass of aluminum oxide contains three O-2 ions. In this instance, 0.65 formula masses of aluminum oxide would contain 3 X 0.65 or 1.95 moles of O2-. If aluminum oxide were covalently bonded, it would not contain any O-2 ions.
