I personally sleep in a bed most nights. Some nights I sleep on a couch, some nights in a sleeping bag, some nights on the floor and some nights in a car. It all depends on the events of the preceding day.

I was prescribed 100 mg Doxepin and it has not even begun to help me sleep. I tried 100 mg 4 nights in a row with zero sleep increase . 2 to 2 1/2 hours of sleep after being up 24 plus hours. Really.

A recent study has shown that although most of us can probably cope with just 6 hours sleep occassionally, if you only sleep for 6 hours every night, then your reaction times will slow and you will generally be less effective at any tasks you do. The study found that 8 hours sleep is a good nights sleep for most people and after 8 hours of sleep, concentration levels and reaction times improve considerably. 9 or 10 hours on school nights to function properly but on weekends it shouldn't really matter.
