cant quite tell if you want to know about the cam or crank , is it 2ltr 16v or diesel, also if crank was it the front/rear/both and is it an auto

4cylinder . two cams = 12:00. crankshaft 12:oo, and the other one 11:00. see 2000 sportage, i have answered it there several times.
I changed only the camshaft position sensor on my 2000 Kia Sportage. So I don't think so.

Replace the leaking part
The CV joint in a 2000 Kia Sportage can be replace by roving the tires, axle nuts, and the knuckle bolts on the struts. Next, the CV joint can be removed by placing a screwdriver between the transmission and the CV joint will pop out.
if you cant figure it out you shouldn't be trying to replace it
Best to replace the tank with a new one if you live in the US check with your local dealer there was a recall to replace the tanks on the sportage at no cost to the owner
