Just as much like today common man, in medieval age the average heigh of a knight was 1.80cm, that of commoners average 1.50, since the knight was coming from wealthy family he ate much better than normal people who often suffered hunger, today average heigh of europeans is 1.80 just like the medieval knight so we very probably ate like them :D
