The "Middle Passage" refers to the second leg in a triangular trading route that resulted in massive numbers of Africans being transported to America as slaves. The "Second Middle Passage" is a phrase coined to refer to the mass movement westward of slaves from the southern United States.

In essence, the second middle passage can be thought of as the second of two periods during which large numbers of African slaves were moved to environments that were very alien to them - a difficult experience that even further exacerbated the difficulties of slave life.

Is the middle passage the triangle passage?

Not exactly. The Middle Passage was a part of the Triangular Trade (more prefferably than "Triangular Passage"). And this Triangular Trade was an international trade network at that time, among Europe,Africa, and America. It had three legs, or parts. The Middle Passage is the second leg, and also the most important. It is where the African slaves were exchaged for European goods like guns and crops.

The middle passage was stage two of slave relocation as I call it. It was also the time when the slaves were squished together and were on the revolting boat. They tell you this in school but the do not give a more specific answer.
