How do you change timing belt on 02 jetta 1.9 diesel?

Timing belt replacement on a 2002 1.9 liter Jetta requires the
removal of several of the major engine components, such as the
coolant tank, valve cover, and serpentine belt. After the removal
of the engine components the timing belt can be replaced. The new
belt needs to be carefully installed on the cam shaft, as an
incorrectly installed belt will lead to engine failure.

What happens if you dont change your car oil?

You oil will get dirtier and dirtier, the filter will clog and
the engine will start the wear. Eventually the engine will develop
sludge and in the end the engine will not last very long. I would
suspect a brand new engine that you kept driving and never changed
the oil might last 50,000 miles at the outside before having major
internal problems.
